I CARE because I’ve been there. I provide personalized and caring customer service to my clients because I know what it feels like to receive bad customer service and feel like your just another dollar in someone else’s bank.

 

I created Ground Up Business Consultants in 2019 because I know through my own personal experience as a business owner the importance of having a strong foundation.

At a very young age I learned the importance of entrepreneurship. My father owned and operated a painting business which not only provided for our family but also sparked an interest in me. I pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Accounting and I started out working in Corporate America as an Accountant.

I love numbers, accounting, and business strategy. It’s kind of weird but I own it because it’s my gift and it works for me.

But life became a bit more stressful when many companies began to downsize and I had to wear more hats. I became an office manager doing Payroll, Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliation, Reconciling Balance Sheets, monthly Profit and Loss Statements, Budget Planning, analyzing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) as well as performing Payroll and Human Resources activities.

I’ve dealt with Workman Compensation, 401 K Plan Administration, Department of Labor Unemployment appeals, and reporting Sales Tax Calculations for multiple counties.

Due to the downsizing, I was able to work directly with successful business owners learning the secrets to running a business and the best strategy to use for decision making and growth.

So after years of trying to quite that entrepreneur spirit that was screaming “LET ME OUT OF HERE”, I lost the battle. I QUIT a paying job in Corporate America to be my own boss and run my own company.

Note: I’ve always had a company but I never focused full time on building a company. A week later I was terrified but there was no turning back and I was determined to succeed as a business owner. Did I succeed? Yes. Was it easy? No. Did I avoid all of the pitfalls? No. But guess what I didn’t stay in the pit I got up and learned and improved my strategy again and again.
